Over 100 years of American history, told through the story of one amazing woman who is a testament to the perserverance and committment of the African American community to education, community service and faith.

A loyal member of the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. --a Black business women's sorority that was founded in 1929-- Mrs. Carter is interviewed and recorded by her sorority sisters, Mrs. Lillian Anderson and Mrs. Johnnie Evans.
